Electrical appliances that may be run unattended have to meet the new edition of DIN EN IEC 60335-1 (VDE 0700 part 1): 2003-07, article 30.2.3 from 208 on. Live-supporting parts of electrical connections carrying I > 0.2A have to meet the requirements of GWFI 850°C acc. to IEC 60695-1-12 or GWIT 775°C acc. to IEC 60695-2-13 or GWT 750°C acc. to IEC 60695-2-11 and a flame has to extinguish within 2 seconds.
